Fountain Inn Natural Gas Department to Upgrade Gas Lines in Inn Circle

Fountain Inn, SC — Fountain Inn Natural Gas , in collaboration with contractors, is set to begin a significant gas line upgrade project in the Inn Circle neighborhood. The project will involve replacing all steel gas lines with modern, durable plastic pipe, a move that enhances safety, efficiency, and long-term cost savings for the community.

Contractors will utilize directional boring for some of the mains and services, minimizing the disruption to well-maintained areas and reducing the need for extensive digging. Work is scheduled to begin within the next few weeks.

Residents in the affected area are asked to be patient and understanding as the project progresses. We kindly request that private lines, such as irrigation, gas lines to outdoor kitchens, grills, or other personal property additions, be clearly marked to ensure safety during the work.

Important Note: Residents are not required to locate public utility lines, as 811 will be used to locate all lines within the right-of-way. However, homeowners are responsible for marking any personal property additions, such as irrigation systems or private gas lines, to prevent any disruption to their property. Additionally, access to gas meters will be required, and we appreciate residents’ cooperation in this matter.
