Normal Debris Pickup Guidelines
Yard Debris Collection
The City of Fountain Inn provides weekly yard debris collection on your regular service day. No scheduling is required.
To ensure safe and efficient pickup, please follow the guidelines below:
Accepted Yard Waste
- Tree limbs, branches, shrubbery, and other natural yard debris
- Limbs must be no more than 6 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter
Preparation Guidelines
- Place yard debris loose at the curb (no bags)
- Create separate piles:
- Limbs, branches, and sticks
- Grass clippings and leaves
- Place debris at the front corner of your property, near the street or public alley
- Ensure piles are clear of obstructions (mailboxes, vehicles, etc.)
Items Not Collected
- Bagged yard waste
- Dirt, rocks, or mulch
- Mixed piles of limbs and leaves/grass
- Yard debris generated by commercial contractors
- If work is completed by a tree service or contractor, removal is the responsibility of the property owner or contractor
Important Reminder
Yard debris that does not meet these guidelines may not be collected.
Debris that does not meet these criteria will not be picked up.

Any materials outside of the container will not be picked up
